Feifer Assessment Bundle
These Feifer Assessments of Reading, Mathematics, and Writing offer a unique, cognitive processing approach to identification of dyslexia and specific learning disabilities (SLDs).
FAR, FAM, and FAW Bundle
These three assessment scales offer a unique, cognitive processing approach to identification of dyslexia and specific learning disabilities. They are all authored by the famous school neuropsychologist, Dr. Steven Feifer.
The Feifer Assessment of Reading (FAR) is designed to assess the underlying cognitive and linguistic processes that support proficient reading skills. The FAR offers a comprehensive testing of reading and related processes. It is unique in that it helps you determine the examinee’s specific sub-type of dyslexia which once identified, assist in creating an intervention treatment to improve the examinee’s reading skills.

The Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM) is a comprehensive assessment of mathematics designed to examine the underlying neurodevelopmental processes that support the acquisition of proficient math skills. It is unique in that it helps you identify specific subtypes of dyscalculia to help inform intervention decision making. The FAM is modeled on studies that suggest that certain neural pathways support cognitive processes that play a part in how we solve mathematical problems.

The Feifer Assessment of Writing (FAW) is a diagnostic achievement test designed to examine the underlying cognitive, motoric, and linguistic processes that support proficient written language skills. It joins the FAR and the FAM as the third and final member of the Feifer Family of diagnostic achievement test batteries, all of which examine subtypes of learning disabilities using a brain–behavior perspective.

Why Bundle the FAR, FAM, and FAW?
They all follow the same theoretical basis and structure, allowing for easier interpretation across reading, math, and written expression results. Together, they provide a comprehensive battery for all types of cognitive processing problems related to impairments in reading, math, and writing.
